I am so fucking mad!
What happened, you say?
Well, I'm so glad you asked. Here goes:
The Slovenian edition of Elle magazine is currently holding a kind of a "contest" on their website for readers to present their creative work in fashion, interior design, photography etc. I submitted a few of the photos from my blog, including this one. After quite some time, I noticed their "jury" left this comment for it:
Ocena: 1 od 5
“Stajling je neizviren. Dejstvo, da sta dva kosa iz iste trgovine (ob minimalističnem staljingu), nas pušča hladne.”

"The styling is unoriginal. The fact that two pieces (considering the minimalistic styling) are from the same store leaves us indifferent."
Before I continue, let's make one thing crystal clear. I'm not one of those poor oversensitive bastards who will get all offended every time they get criticized. I'll admit it's nicer to get compliments, but I really don't mind constructive criticism. I know who I am and what I'm capable of (and what my flaws are), so don't worry, I can handle it. What I can't and won't take is moronic shit coming my way.
Now that this is clear ...
What kind of an idiotic, half-assed argument was that? Two pieces are from the same store - so fucking what? Damn, I had no idea that was the ultimate styling faux pas. Or is there a subliminal message I'm not getting?
Anyway ... the same magazine is holding another contest, a styling contest in cooperation with a store called K&Ö. Their clothes had to be styled by the 10 finalists - here are the results:
I'm not gonna discuss the quality of these attempts at styling here, let me just mention that I'm amazed how they're brimming with unbelievable creativity and originality (sarcasm off). But there's something else I would like to point out. Umm, how shall I put this ...
All the clothes are, umm ... from THE SAME FUCKING STORE!!!!!
Do I need to say anything else?
